Media Statement on LBMA’s Incident Review Process

Asahi Refining Canada Ltd. acknowledges the decision that has been made by the LBMA to launch an Incident Review Process (IRP) concerning certain supply chain adverse media and counterparty monitoring issues.

Asahi remains a Good Delivery Refiner and intends to fully cooperate with the LBMA as the IRP proceeds in order to resolve this matter as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Over the years, Asahi has implemented and continuously worked to review and improve its robust responsible sourcing program. Asahi’s deep commitment to operational integrity and responsible sourcing remains at the core of our business and operations.

Asahi is confident that this review, and the results of the review, will further enhance its monitoring and oversight systems and processes moving forward.
